Start the conversations
The Priorities conversation can be started through Asset-Map’s Discovery feature or in the meeting itself, with questions like ‘What do you want to make sure we address together?’ and ‘In five years, what will be different about your financial life that would make you feel successful?

Identify client goals, preferences & concerns
Define scope of the planning engagement, including goals, upcoming decision points, and opportunities identified by the advisor. Then establish relative importance and understand urgency.

Connect advice to intention
Use the Priorities framework to discuss choices and trade-offs. Connect financial decisions to intended objectives, and when a client struggles to make a decision, be able to refer back to their stated objectives.

Deepen your relationships and identify opportunities to add value
Over time the Priorities feature helps clients and advisors to uncover what is new in the client’s life, to optimize overall decisions, and ultimately to celebrate wins.
