It Started with a Question

“What if financial professionals could truly see their clients' financial lives visually?”
That question sparked the creation of Asset-Map.
2002: The Blueprint
Founder H. Adam Holt filed the first copyright for what would become the Asset-Map Report—a standardized household visual framework to help consumers organize all financial decisions and their relationship to family members
2004: Standardization
Refined the map through real-world testing across diverse household situations—from simple to complex family structures.
2005: The "Kitchen Table" Moment
A breakthrough moment: When a client pulled the map away and rejected the traditional financial planning report, it confirmed that visual clarity could transform how people understand their financial lives.
2006–2008: The Production Spike
The visual-first approach drove dramatic practice growth, tripling Adam’s revenue as a financial advisor three years in a row and proving Asset-Map’s effectiveness.
2009: Operationalizing (Asset-Map LLC)
Funded the first technology build to move beyond hand-drawn maps. Adam deployed it across his firm’s 1,600 client households, supported by 11 advisors and 12 staff.
2012: The Peer Explosion
A single conference presentation by Adam sparked organic adoption. Of the 25 top professionals that heard Adam’s story, 20 signed up immediately; word of mouth drove 90 users by year-end—validation that advisors were hungry for better client conversations.
2013: The Tipping Point & Rebuild
Reached 300 advisors. The volume validated market demand and required moving beyond the original “pet project” model. Secured seed investment and rebuilt the entire technology platform in the US to support sustainable growth.
2015: The Enterprise Breakthrough
Closed first Fortune 150 financial services firm, establishing Asset-Map's viability at enterprise scale.
2019: Series A (Asset-Map Holdings, Inc.)
Scaled corporate structure and capital to support broader market expansion.
2022: Series B
What began as a solution for one advisor's practice quickly gained traction across the industry. By 2015, Asset-Map had expanded internationally, serving advisors and their clients around the world.
