Welcome back to Asset-Map Product Updates.
A monthly series highlighting the latest innovations we’re releasing on our platform. I'm Lex Brooks, Director of Brand + Product Marketing, here to guide you through.
For April, we've rolled out a fresh user experience for a more cohesive platform look, some extra 3rd party security for Multi Factor Authentication using an authenticator app, and a few icon adjustments in Drafts to ease visual comprehension of suggested changes. Make sure to watch until the end to get a quick teaser of our major update coming to the Client Portal update!
Let's dive in.
By now, we hope you've either seen our fun coming soon video or experienced the change in app- but we've refreshed how the people and entities are visualized across the platform. We now offer a full range of icons in corresponding colors providing easy visual cues to identify everything from the client's partner and family to their financial professionals. The icons will also help distinguish people from entities. There's even a cute new paw print to capture those beloved pets.
The change has replaced our previous outline or stick-figures across the platform, so now within the member bar at the top of the Asset-Map Report, Balance Sheet, Financials, and Beneficiaries pages you'll see each member or entity shown with their icon and color as selected when the household was created. The icons have also been added to the Sidebar feature, where you can see under legal for example that the members included in each document are highlighted with their icons. And the major area where this change becomes apparent is within Relationship Maps, so distinguishing relationships between people, business, and adding context is simpler than ever to help delve deeper into conversation and open up opportunities for you and your clients.
Next up, we have added an authenticator app option to our Multi-Factor Authentication in addition to the email and text options that already available. By visiting User Preferences, and selecting the Security tab, you can now enable the Authenticator App option on your phone or computer. We highly recommend adding the extra layer of security for the best level of data protection, and the app option now makes that easier to deploy across your business. The setting can be adjusted at a firm level as well to require all users in your practice to use multi-factor authentication.
Moving onto Drafts, we replaced the trash can icon with a red X and replaced the avatar in the member bar and instruments with an icon when there are suggested edits. These updates to the icons help make Drafts in the Asset-Map report easier to scan and discuss with your client so they can quickly see proposed additions, deletions and updates.
And finally, a quick teaser that we have coming soon to the Client Portal. You've been waiting for this one -- Suggest mode! We're excited to soon release the first iteration of your clients being able to suggest edits and changes they want within the Asset-Map Report. Just like you're used to with other common applications like Google Docs, that have View and Suggest Modes to capture updates on the go, you'll now be able to offer Suggest as an enhancement to your clients, giving them more control, saving you time and preparing you both to use Client Portal in a more involved way to deepen your next conversation.
That’s all for our April updates! Don't forget to like this video & subscribe to our YouTube channel for all the latest Asset-Map news.
