Welcome back to Asset-Map Product Updates.

A monthly series highlighting the latest innovations we’re releasing on our platform. I'm Lex Brooks, Director of Brand + Product Marketing, here to guide you through.

Over the last two months, we teased two major platform updates ...which are now both available! We'll showcase our brand new Presentation Mode which is a game-changer for focused, collaborative conversations. And we'll take you through the biggest Client Portal change to date - the new Suggest Mode where your clients can suggest changes themselves for even more efficient, productive meetings and data collection. We'll also touch on a smaller, but still highly impactful update allowing for Joint Ownership to automatically be reflected in Beneficiary outputs.

Let's dive in.

First up, let's focus the conversation with Presentation Mode.

This new full screen mode allows you to enter a clean, distraction-free view of your client's information, making it easier to keep the spotlight on what matters most. By clicking this border outline icon in the top right corner, you'll notice your browser-window and the hundreds of tabs you may or may not have open disappear... showing only the information that is specific to the household you are working with.

You can take it a step further, using the built-in "veil" functionality - clicking the Asset-Map logo here. Or for our Elite users with custom branding, this may house your custom business logo instead of the Asset-Map logo. The veil feature gives you control over when data is visible -- like having the Asset-Map Report showing for a new client who has just filled out Discovery, or starting with Target-Maps or Relationship Maps for more in-depth conversations for follow-up meetings. It allows you to manage the flow of a conversation without needing to exit Presentation Mode.

We've considered your client experience too - so while you're actively presenting in this mode, all platform chat and tool tips features are disabled to minimize interruptions and maintain a professional, client-focused environment.

Once the meeting is complete, simply click the border icon again or press Esc to return to your standard browser view or to switch households, and all of the helpful support features will be easily accessible again.

Since Asset-Map is designed as a client-first experience specifically for planning conversations, we highly recommend using Presentation Mode for all client meetings.

Next up, let's take a look at how we've enriched the experience with Client Portal Suggest Mode. This two-way feature empowers clients to proactively flag updates or additions to their financial lives directly in their Asset-Map Report—helping keep data fresh and conversations forward-looking. Not to mention, it makes data collection far more efficient for you as the advisor.

To get started, visit the new Client Portal tile on the Household summary page, where you'll notice each household member is listed with a Client Portal access status - invited, expired, active or inactive. Once a member name is clicked, you'll be taken to their member details and can update the Client Portal permission set - from View to Suggest.

Once a client is invited with Suggesting permissions, they can adjust what's new or changed in their financial life, on their own time- enhancing a collaborative and meaningful experience beyond the meeting. It's designed to make it easy for a client to prep for their annual review with you so that the process can be more efficient for you both, and your conversation can be more valuable focused on what could be, what's next, and how we get there, versus time spent just refreshing numbers.

Once the client has made updates, advisors receive an email notification, creating an opportunity for timely follow-up and deeper engagement.

Once you're back in the Asset-Map platform, you retain full control. All the client suggestions appear as a notification at the top of the household summary or Asset-Map Report pages- notifying you of pending changes. Once clicked, a new Draft version of the report pops up, allowing for a thoughtful review and comparison with the current version before accepting or rejecting changes.

And lastly, we've improved how Joint Ownership income impacts planning conversations, particularly those around financial ramifications for end of life conversations.

Specifically, we have updated assets, liabilities, and unearned income to be able to reflect Joint Ownership, Joint Borrowers, or Joint Recipients respectively with the small checkbox located below the interested members. The ability to identify Joint Recipients for unearned income is a new option, and can be beneficial for incomes such as rental income, or pensions and annuities with 100% survivorship.

In all cases, when selected, the surviving owner, borrower, or recipient will automatically be identified as the primary beneficiary which you can see play out in the Beneficiaries map. This increases the speed you can dive into a conversation about who is picking up which pieces should a member of the household die. Contingent beneficiaries can then be used to model the beneficiary if all joint owners have passed, including selecting a legal document such as a will or trust.

While we're here, be sure to check our new product releases page on the website for all the latest information, including bug fixes and guides to tutorials for more in depth information.
