Asset-Map is looking for an Office and Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic, partially remote team. This is an important role with the opportunity to make a significant impact on this rapidly growing company and millions of people experiencing the platform worldwide.
What you’ll do as Office & HR Manager
You will operate as a single-person team handling virtual and physical office management as well as Human Resources needs, reporting directly to the President, and working collaboratively with the larger Operations, Finance, and Data teams, as well as our vendor partners. Your areas of responsibility will be wide, but focusing primarily on Finance, Compliance, Physical office needs, Human Resources, and assisting the president and CEO. You will bring organization, energy, self-motivation, and detailed execution skills.
Working directly under the President you have the opportunity to learn and grow in this role, expanding your knowledge, human capital, and experience in a collaborative work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the remote office.
Assist in managing vendor relationships, subscriptions, invoices and payments, and SaaS tool licensing.
Ensure state-by-state compliance with codes, regulations, and reporting needs. Managing all of the company insurance and tax account applications, filings, payments, and reporting, in collaboration with our Tax Accountants and insurance broker.
Manage budget tracking, expense reports, and invoice approvals.
Bill paying and credit card expense auditing.
Coordinate team calendars, in-person meetings and virtual events or retreats.
Oversee digital file management, contract tracking, and internal documentation.
Maintain and improve our internal knowledge base and operational SOPs.
Optimize and maintain internal systems, tools, and workflows (e.g., Dropbox Slack, Google Workspace, etc.).
Act as a point of contact for team support needs and operational questions.
Key Human Resources Responsibilities
Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment support, onboarding, development, engagement, and offboarding.
Manage our payroll and benefits systems, and ensure updated state compliance.
Serve as the secondary HR point of contact for employees across all U.S. states.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws for a distributed U.S. workforce.
Manage our benefits programs and serve as liaison with benefits providers.
Partner with legal and finance on policy updates, worker classification, and benefits compliance.
Coordinate performance review cycles and assist in implementing professional development programs.
Support managers with employee relations issues and provide coaching on effective management in a remote context.
Collaborate with leadership to review compensation structures.
Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, recognition, and well-being.
Plan virtual events and programs to build community and connection in a remote environment.
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of operations, office management, or human resources experience, ideally with at least 2+ years at a fully or partially remote company.
Proven experience as an Office Manager, Human Resources Manager, Executive Assistant, or in a similar administrative role—remote experience preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
The highest level of professionalism.
Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.).
Other Valued Qualities and Skills
Experience in HR or bookkeeping is a plus.
Familiarity with project management and cloud-based systems.
Previous experience working in a distributed or global team.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience. Employer subsidized health and dental insurance. Hours: This is a full-time salaried position.
Location: This is a hybrid role, and will require some in-office time at our headquarters located in Olde Kensington, Philadelphia, in addition to remote work.
